This policy explains what personal data Buceapp collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the pages and accounts we operate on social platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

Data we collect

We collect the information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in a message or a booking request. Where a course or a dive requires it, we also collect the medical and certification information needed to dive safely.

When you visit this site or interact with our ads, we may receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, and whether you arrived from an advertisement.

How we use it

We use your data to answer your enquiries, to organise and run the dives and courses you book, to meet the safety and insurance obligations that apply to diving, and to measure how well our advertising works.

Advertising and measurement

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Those platforms may set cookies or similar technologies to measure the performance of our ads and to show them to relevant audiences. We may share hashed contact details with Meta so that events such as a completed enquiry can be attributed to an ad. You can control these preferences in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and through your browser's cookie settings.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example hosting, email and payment providers — and only to the extent they need it. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal, accounting and insurance obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing. Write to admin@buceapp.com and we will respond within 30 days. To request deletion of data associated with a social media account, email us with the subject line "Data deletion" and the account name.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Minors taking part in dives are enrolled by a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and publish the new version on this page.
